Matching Employee Contributions, Rite-Solutions Donates $20,000 to Two Community Food Banks in RI and VA

MIDDLETOWN, RI (November 6, 2024)—In its annual “Rite Donation” campaign, Rite-Solutions donated $10,000 each to two food banks: The MLK Community Center in Newport, RI, and Love Thy Neighbor Community Food Pantry in King George, VA.

Rite-Solutions employees in Middletown, RI and Dahlgren, VA offices made donations through deductions from their paychecks. The company then matched the employees donations, dollar-for-dollar, for a total of $20,000! “We have been blessed with a great company built by exceptional people,” says Joe Marino, Rite-Solutions CEO and Co-founder. “It is only fitting that we share these blessings with those less fortunate.”

The MLK Community Center serves over 8,000 people per year in Newport County by fighting hunger, promoting health, educating young children, supporting families, and engaging seniors. “The generosity of the employees and leadership of Rite-Solutions aids us in providing over 1.1 million meals to our community,” says Alyson Novick, Director of Development. “Everyone should have access to adequate and healthy food. I know that Rite-Solutions’ culture centers on being more like a community than a corporation. That kind of environment aligns perfectly with the MLK Community Center, and we’re so grateful to be part of this year’s Month of Giving.”

The Love Thy Neighbor Food Pantry serves, on average, 300 families each week in King George, VA, and surrounding communities. The non-profit’s mission is to provide healthy food that meets the needs of individuals and families, in a spirit of “neighbors helping neighbors.”
