Matching Employee Contributions, Rite-Solutions Donates $19,300 to Two Community Food Banks in RI and VA

MIDDLETOWN, RI (November 4, 2025)—In its annual “Rite Donation” campaign, Rite-Solutions employees raised $9,650. Matching employee donations, dollar-for-dollar, Rite-Solutions will donate $19,300 to the MLK Community Center and Love Thy Neighbor Community Food Pantry.
“Support from Rite-Solutions employees and leadership helps us provide almost 1.4 million meals to our community–20% more than the prior year,” says Alyson Novick, Director of Development at MLK Community Center. “Only 2.5% of our funding comes from federal, state, and municipal governments. So, support from companies like Rite-Solutions makes our work possible. We are so grateful!”
The Newport, RI-based community center offers holiday meal assistance at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Year-round, the center also offers daily hot breakfast and hot lunches three times per week.
“Every household has its own story, but everybody needs food,” says Ryan Ragsdale, Treasurer at Love Thy Neighbor Community Food Pantry. “The contribution from Rite-Solutions allows us to put food on the table for Sam, a single dad who lost his job, while he looks for employment. And, help Rita build a new life for her kids after fleeing an abusive relationship. And, help Alice care for her husband, who has dementia, while juggling part-time work. Your generosity makes these things possible!”
In King George, VA, the Love Thy Neighbor Community Food Pantry had 15,556 shopping visits from 1,784 unique households, and distributed about 955,000 pounds of food to needy families. Rite-Solutions was one of the pantry’s top four contributors last year.
“We are pleased to give back to two communities where we live and work,” says Jim Lavoie, Rite-Solutions Chairman and Co-Founder. “Perhaps, more importantly, we are proud of our thoughtful, caring, and generous employees. They always do the ‘Rite’ thing.”
