Middletown, RI (September 25, 2019) – Rite-Solutions, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has successfully retained its status as a Capability Maturity Model Integration Development View (CMMI-DEV) Maturity Level 3 organization. Appraised every three years, the company initially achieved Level 3 status in September 2013 and will retain that status through September 2022.

“This achievement, along with becoming ISO 9001 and ISO 140001 certified earlier this year, demonstrates Rite-Solutions’ continued commitment to our customers and dedication to providing software products developed in accordance with rigorous industry standards and best practices,” said Michael Taylor, Senior VP and Director of PMO.

The CMMI program provides a framework for an organization’s performance and process improvement efforts. According to the CMMI Institute, organizations achieving CMMI Maturity Level 3 status have documented performance improvements in cost, schedule, quality, customer satisfaction, and return on investment.

Though Rite-Solutions has maintained Level 3 status for six years, this year is a more significant achievement. The company is one of only 35 companies worldwide to date that has achieved CMMI-DEV V2.0 Maturity Level 3 certification. In January 2019, the CMMI Institute began appraisals against their updated capability and maturity model. V2.0 provides specific content for key software practices such as Agile/SCRUM development, continuous integration, secure coding, increased focus on organizational performance.

“Maturity Level 3 for CMMI-DEV 2.0 is more challenging,” said Taylor. “But, we view V2.0 as a key business discriminator that drives customer satisfaction and sets us apart in our highly competitive business environment.”
