Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center Receives Generous Donation From Local Defense Contractor, Rite-Solutions, Inc.
“Rite-Solution’s timing is perfect. The need for accessible, healthy food is surging. We’ve been seeing an increase of about 35% this year in our hunger programs and this generosity helps us meet the need. This Thanksgiving, we helped 935 families have a holiday meal and we expect that number to grow for our Holiday Meal program in December.” said Heather Hole Strout. “Corporate initiatives like this are so powerful and we’re thrilled and grateful Rite-Solutions chose the MLK as their local beneficiary.”
Last year, the MLK Community Center provided 844,097 meals, a 28% increase from the prior year.
Joe Marino, one of Rite-Solutions, Inc., founders adds, “We are proud of our employees for contributing to the MLK Center this Holiday season and are thrilled Rite-Solutions was able to match 100%. After an incredible tour, we are excited to see our donation put to use with all the wonderful things the MLK Center is doing for our community!”
